GSZD reduces RA symptoms effectively
We explored the effects of decoction (GSZD) on bone erosion linked to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in a rat model. Our study involved various groups receiving either GSZD or standard treatments, monitoring changes in paw volume and arthritic severity.

The findings showed that GSZD significantly improved inflammatory symptoms and reduced joint tissue erosion. It decreased markers of osteoclasts and enhanced protective factors, suggesting promising potential for GSZD as a supplement in treating RA without pronounced adverse effects.

Rosa multiflora extract reduces arthritis
We investigated the efficacy of a petroleum ether extract from the hips of Rosa multiflora in treating collagen-induced arthritis in rats. The study used a control group, treated with various doses of the extract, and compared it against a well-known medication.

The results showed that the highest dose effectively reduced arthritis severity and paw swelling. It also appeared to inhibit inflammation markers and boost antioxidant enzyme levels. However, the precise mechanisms of how the extract works and its key components need further research.

CCFM1074 benefits arthritis management
We assessed the effects of collagen supplements, specifically strain CCFM1074, on arthritis in rats. This study utilized a robust method that examined the immune responses, gut microbiota, and various metabolites.

Our findings revealed that CCFM1074 successfully reduced symptoms of arthritis, enhancing beneficial immune responses while modulating gut microbiota and metabolites. Meanwhile, another strain, CCFM1075, did not show significant benefits.

Overall, CCFM1074 appears to balance immune functions and improve gut health, suggesting its potential role in managing autoimmune disorders.

While marketed for cartilage strengthening, I utilise it for "relapsed polychondritis," an autoimmune disorder I've suffered from for six years. This disorder is caused by collagen type 2 producing autoantibodies. I've proven that UC-II acts therapeutically with my body, and I am nearly fully recovered but take it daily for prevention.

Great collagen for joints and more! I ordered it with glucosamine and hyaluronic acid to support my parents' joint health. Prior to this, my mother had taken collagen types 1 and 3. Since starting this supplement, they've experienced no side effects and are very pleased with the improvement; their stiffness has vanished and they feel fantastic!

BD400 may alleviate rheumatoid arthritis
We explored how the collagen supplement BD400 affects rheumatoid arthritis (RA) using a collagen-induced arthritis rat model.

Our findings indicated that BD400 significantly reduced arthritis symptoms, including joint swelling and inflammation. It also positively influenced gut health by restoring intestinal permeability and altering gut microbiota composition.

Ultimately, our study suggests that BD400 can slow the progression of RA by down-regulating certain inflammatory factors and enhancing gut barrier function, presenting an interesting potential for autoimmune disorder management.

CoQ10 nanoparticles reduce arthritis symptoms
We examined the anti-inflammatory properties of liposome/gold hybrid nanoparticles that contain Coenzyme Q10 (LGNP-CoQ10) in a model of rheumatoid arthritis in mice. Over 10 weeks, we treated the mice with LGNP-CoQ10 and noted that it significantly reduced inflammation and levels of specific pro-inflammatory factors.

Moreover, the treatment showed a decrease in pro-inflammatory cell populations, indicating a reduced inflammatory response that could benefit those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. Our findings highlight the promising therapeutic potential of LGNP-CoQ10 in managing inflammatory autoimmune disorders.

We explored how Hsp65, a protein delivered by beneficial bacteria, can help prevent arthritis in mice. In our study, continuous delivery in the gut led to the creation of regulatory T cells that successfully blocked the onset of arthritis. We observed reduced clinical signs of arthritis and lower inflammation markers, like IL-17 and anti-collagen antibodies. This approach appears to modify gut bacteria and enhance immune tolerance, suggesting Hsp65 could potentially be a new tool for treating autoimmune diseases.

Improved running
3 people found this helpful
Excellent product! I was an elite middle-distance runner but struggled since I turned 40. I had noticeable creaking in my knees, especially when going up and down stairs. After trying various supplements, I started taking this collagen almost two years ago. Within a month, the creaking ceased, and my running gait is much improved. Although I'm not as fast as before, I'm certainly enjoying running again.

Elasticity and relief
2 people found this helpful
I am ordering for the second time. Initially persuaded by a friend, I experienced remarkable results by the end of the first course—I felt as if I were jumping with agility! My joints gained elasticity, stopped cracking, and the painful knee discomfort diminished in cold weather. After a year, I decided to repeat the course. I noted no discomfort during use, and the effects seem to accumulate over time. My co-workers, inspired by my experience, have also chosen to order this product. I highly recommend it!

Joint improvement visible

The joints have stopped cracking! After two weeks of using the product, my MCH noted a significant decrease in joint noise. While it’s premature to determine its overall effectiveness, there is already an observable improvement! We've also added effervescent vitamin C to enhance collagen absorption, which may facilitate quicker results.

Hip joint pain relief

I order for my husband, not for the first time, as it lasts about four months. He experiences pain in his hip joints, and after the first four months of taking collagen type 2 with vitamin C as prescribed by his doctor, the pain vanished. He now takes it periodically for prevention. It worked perfectly.

Autoimmunity reduced
NOW Foods, UC-II, 60 Veg Capsules. UC-II Type 2 Collagen delivers Type 2 Collagen at a therapeutic dose, contributing to reduced autoimmunity towards the body's own collagen. This results in decreased inflammation linked to autoimmune disorders such as RA and OA, thus benefiting joint health. Studies in Japan showed that the effects last for 30 days; hence, a monthly course is advisable. This preparation contains Aquamin, a marine multi-mineral which is effective against inflammation and enhances joint mobility in osteoarthritis, potentially reducing the need for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

We examined whether the exopolysaccharide (EPS) from Lactobacillus rhamnosus could help manage arthritis in mice. By injecting a collagen mix to trigger arthritis, we measured how EPS affected antibody production and disease severity.

Our findings showed that EPS significantly lowered the specific antibodies related to arthritis and eased symptoms in active models of collagen-induced arthritis. However, its benefits were less noticeable in severe cases with high antibody levels. Overall, EPS shows promise as a supportive treatment for rheumatoid arthritis in humans.
